Hotel Lutetia in Paris: detox and well-being in the capital

A detox cure in the heart of Paris ? This is the somewhat crazy bet launched at the start in 2024 by this palace, certainly one of the most beautiful hotels in the capital. The Hotel Lutetia has planned everything to grant well-being parenthesis to its guests: in addition to its superb swimming pool, the Akasha spa offers yoga, meditation, fitness classes and consultations with a renowned nutritionist. Of the healthy menus and pressed juices top it all off. You no longer need to go far to feel good!

The most beautiful hotel on the Left Bank

The Lutetia is theemblematic address of the 6th arrondissement of Paris since the opening of its doors in 1910. Located on the edge of the Saint-Germain-des-Prés district, opposite the Le Bon Marché department store and near the Seine, it has been the refuge of many artists such as Pablo Picasso or Ernest Hemingway. In the 1950s, businessmen and stars met at the Lutetia bar to savor the best jazz evenings in Paris.

The Lutetia suffered a complete renovation led by Jean-Michel Wilmotte between 2014 and 2018, and it now combines the charm of its architectural heritage with the most modern decoration and equipment. The hotel offers 184 rooms, including 49 suites.

The Art Nouveau style combines with modernity with great elegance. The colors are soothing, the decor contemporary and some rooms even have a view of the Iron Lady.

The rooms of the Hotel Lutetia are more spacious than the average in Paris. Some of them have a balcony and a view of the Eiffel Tower. The Suites are larger and most have a separate lounge area.

With large areas (up to 180 m², an unprecedented luxury in Paris), the signature suites offer all the comfort one could dream of. The furniture is designer and the bed linen is signed Garnier-Thiebaut. The hotel does not forget well-being: any reservation in a signature suite includes a spa treatment to be shared for two.

The Akasha Spa: well-being in all its forms

The Akasha Wellness Center has a superb swimming pool, worthy of making the cover of architecture magazines. There is also a jacuzzi, a sauna, a hammam, six treatment cabins, a hairdresser and a 100 m² high-tech fitness area. The equipment is state-of-the-art and many classes are offered, ranging from bootcamp to boxing, including many styles of yoga. A section is even reserved for body-building.

Spa Akasha’s red thread consists in placing the four elements air, water, fire and earth within well-being. According to this philosophy, the spa includes breathing techniques for the Air element, it has Water-based infrastructures, its treatments awaken certain energies attached to the Fire element and you can savor healthy menus as well as detox drinks, in reference to the Earth element.

The spa menu presents its treatments according to the products used, and therefore the wellness objective targeted. Spa Akasha has chosen to collaborate with three major brands specializing in anti-aging and natural cosmetics: Carita, Cellcosmet and Aromatherapy Associates. Detox, anti-aging, refinement of the silhouette are the most recurrent objectives.

Also note that the Akasha spa has chosen to work with recognized beauty and well-being experts, such as hairdresser Christophe-Nicolas Biot, micro-nutritionist Valérie Espinasse and Daniele Beniamini for the massages.

The Akasha Detox Program

Spa Akasha has designed a complete program for those wishing to free themselves from their toxins. The program comes with a healthy meal menu and of physical exercises, yoga, meditation and concentration: a true invitation to well-being for the mind, body and soul. The program is fully designed tailoredadjustable according to needs.

French cuisine revisited

True emblem of theFrench way of life, the hotel’s catering is refined and faithful to its culinary heritage. Chef Benjamin Brial ensures that the palates of Lutetia guests delight in delicacies in the hotel’s restaurants. If you feel like starting the day with a “wellness” organic breakfastthe Orangerie serves delicious ones in a relaxing atmosphere.

Fabrice Hyber’s colorful artwork on the historic glass roof of the Saint-Germain restaurant raises your eyes to the ceiling. We come here for all meals to taste classics revisited with Asian flavors. The famous Brasserie Lutetia is supervised by Chef Patrick Charvet and the classics are, here, punctuated with contemporary touches from breakfast to dinner.

To treat yourself to gourmet moments in the open air, the hotel has two patios, heated in winter. To sip a spirit, you will find two bars at the Lutetia. Aristide is very exclusive and resembles an intimate private club. the Bar Josephine unveils a unique decor: large Art Deco frescoes rise to the ceiling.
